We’re seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in designing, deploying, and managing complex network and security environments — with certification in at least one (ideally more) of the following: CCNP (CCIE preferred), PCNSA (PCNSE preferred) or CISSP.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Lead projects using Palo Alto Networks technologies, including next-generation firewalls and security platforms.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve existing network and security plan and policies to meet business requirements and compliance standards.
- Lead security assessments, vulnerability analysis, and risk management to proactively identify and remediate potential threats.
- Collaborate across teams to integrate network security into project planning, system design, and operational processes.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Required Qualifications
- At least one of the following certifications (multiple strongly preferred):
- CCNP - CCIE preferred
- PCNSA - PCNSE preferred
- CISSP
- 5+ years of professional experience in network security engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, BGP).
- Deep understanding in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-scale firewall policies.
- Experience in developing and maintaining security architecture plans and documentation.
- Familiarity with security monitoring, incident response, and SIEM tools.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Multiple certifications from the list above.
- Experience working with Cisco and Palo Alto Networks platforms.
- Experience with enterprise or multi-site environments.
- Knowledge of cloud security architectures (AWS).
- Scripting or automation skills (Python, Perl).
- Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and endpoint security tools.
